His parishioners (because that's what these goddamn weirdos are) are already saying that this was the plan all along; that we'd pay for it first and then get it back in A, B, and C manner. For example, one way "they'll" pay for it is by taking the money from wire transfers going from individuals in the U.S. to Mexico. How is that supposed to happen? Fuck if I know. Things have gotten so dumb with Trump and his cult followers that the bottom of the dumb barrel has been bored-through and digging is ongoing.

And of course: trade war.

I don't remember ever hearing these idiotic things before yesterday, but all of a sudden, Mexico is going to pay for it after its built.

Healthcare is too expensive, but a wall that's going to cost anywhere from $25-$40 billion, not counting after the fact maintenance costs? No problem. But such is the thinking of revenge politics. They're going to punish Mexicans and they're going to punish Obama and supporters of the ACA; not because it's going to help anyone, but because it's going to hurt others. What's thunderously obvious is that along the way, Trumptards are going to get hurt just as much, if not more than the people they're seeking this drooling, misguided revenge against, and by then it'll be too late.

I'm imagining Trump's wall, just a small fraction of it being built by 2020 somewhere along some lonely stretch of desert in Arizona, which will sit there as a monument to idiocy for generations to come. I think that'd be a good thing. A big, purposeless, concrete mass on which people could graffiti and take pics of like the Berlin Wall became in West Germany that can always be pointed to as reminder to think before pulling the lever in the voting booth.
