Unless I'm missing something from the video, "Dave" is trying to go from the left side of the camera to the right. He basically pushes through some people; we have no context of whether these people were actively trying to stop him, whether "Dave" asked them to step aside so he could get through, or whether "Dave" just decided to push through rudely. So let's give "Dave" the benefit of the doubt and say that these protesters were being assholes and blocking him.

What "Dave" does next is inexcusable. He's already got through to where he wants to go, but instead of just going where he was going, he turns back and starts trying to pull people backwards, against their will. That's assault by the way.

Whatever spin one puts on this, "Dave" is a bad guy at the end, and depending on the context of the initial 3 seconds of the video, so are some of the protesters. "Dave" is not a hero. "Dave" should not be on t-shirts.

That's not what I saw. I see him trying to pull his family/friends (guess) through the blockade who were still being restrained against their will. The people he pulled through calmly walk in with him.

Possibly heresay , I had heard accounts that protestors in general were leaving alternative routes open.

The protesters were the ones who got physical when they closed ranks to physically stop a person from getting where he had every legal right to go. The truth is the protesters are the bullies in this situation. I do not give them the right to bully just because I agree with their protest and neither should anyone. Where is the moral consistency?

Personally I would absolutely enforce my rights against those who try to bully me like these protesters were doing. Dave handled it well as no one got hurt and he got to go where he wanted to by pushing through a crowd intent on bullying him.

It was an anti liberal tactic that they were engaging in and if the tables were reversed every liberal here would be arguing from the exact opposite side. 
I just finished pointing out to a conservative how they were acting like hypocrites when they complain about Trump being compared to Hitler. Believe me, both sides act like hypocrites every day and when you are truly independent of these ideologies the clear cut hypocrisy is never ending.

Watch the video again. Dave pushes through the protesters (ok, fine if they are blocking him) but then turns back and decides to be the aggressor and pull people around, which is assault. Dave didn't handle it well at all. Handling it well would have been pushing through and continuing to walk to where he was going, not turn around and assault the people who did him wrong.

Ok, I watched the video again and Dave turns back to help what looks like his family to get through as well. He does not turn around and assault anyone for no reason, he helps the smaller people in his group deal with bullies.
Can you explain why the bullies were detaining those other people against their will?
