Immortality means you'll outlive the universe. ~150,000,000,000 years from now, when the heat death of the universe comes around you'll still be there, alone in space and time. Forever.
A more cheerful scenario is you fly too close to a neutron star and get caught in the gravity well. Splat! onto the surface of the star, and smashed down to one molecule, perhaps one atom, thick. But you're immortal. Still alive. Stuck there forever. Hopefully it won't hurt much. Hopefully.

Yes I would provided I have the ability to end my immortality at any time. That was I figure as soon as I get bored of living I can just choose to die.

Why do you worry so much about the universe? 
The universe is a creation.
There may well be a myriad of universes and dimensions.
This is the game of the creator Gaw.
Once you merge and become one with the creator you will be in full control so nothing will bother you anymore.

Heat death of the universe in just 150,000,000,000 years?  Sorry to nit pick, but over half of all the stars currently in existence in the universe would not have even gone through 10% of their life on the main sequence in 150 billion years.

I wouldn't want to be immortal, but I would like a greatly extended life though. Say, 500 years, but fully mortal. That is, I can still die the same way anyone else can.
But even 500 years would likely render one grateful for death by the end of it. Hell, I'm not that smart, but if I could study math and science for 50 years straight, I could become an astrophysicist. Then I could spend another 50 years on just studying philosophy.
Actually no, I'd have to become rich first, so I'd spend 100 years working and investing in low risk... oh, fuck it.

Convo's probably somewhere else by now, but I'm gonna answer the initial question.
I think a while ago, I would have probably answered no, but hell, I think I'm uniquely qualified for immortality. I live at a snail's pace and, what's more, that's how I like it. Given from now until the end of humanity, I don't think I could get bored; only more interested as things change around me. Then there's the "watching everything and everyone you love die" argument, but its not like mortality will spare you from that unless you suddenly become very mortal right now.
Also, I'm assuming immortal means ageless as well, and therefor not eventually living in constant agony, because "would you be immortal" and "would you want to live in constant agony" are two different questions. In which case you have two options: Hide your immortality, or pull a Tony Stark and come right out with it. You'd be the advice column guy. "Let's hear what the Immortal has to say about our 201st Emperor"..."I haven't seen a ruler like Cullovdoody Walmartson since Donald J. Trump"
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:

Correct Exi.
We are already immortal right now in this body but because we live or better say are stuck inside a body that eventually will get sick and old we wrongly come to the conclusion that WE as immortal outside a body will also get sick and old.
How wrong. 
The consciousness which is our real I never get sick and old.
How can an abstract entity such as the consciousness get affected by physical ailments?
