I am about to ask a serious but utterly reprehensible question

I have twice stated on this thread about that...

So it's okay if I worship someone who is going to burn you because they personally thought you did something wrong. All I have to do is disagree with them and feel compassionate for you while you are burning. I should still worship them, though, because I don't want to be burned.

For me, spending time burning in Hell so others can be Saved would be worth it.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.

That still makes them a tyrannical dictator not worth worshiping.

I assume you're an American. How can you support a country that denies the rights of so many worldwide for oil?

You assume correctly. I don't love the country I was born in. I don't worship it. I don't support it. I actually call it out on everything it does wrong. As soon as I have the means to leave, I plan on doing so.

Are you comparing your god to the USA, though? I'd rate him a bit lower than that, if he actually exists.

There is a banned book (I believe it's the Apocalypse of Peter) where it states that the citizens in Heaven would have such a compassion for those dwelling Hell that God would relent and ultimately grant universal salvation. That's what I believe in, I don't view Hell as being eternal, just a step in the path of life.

It also says in the bible that those in heaven will look down on those in hell and celebrate their torture.
