I've been married four times, three of them to sane women. My advice to any husband would be "never stop dating your wife."

But the extra commitment and the legal security are well worth it, in my opinion. I want my wife to be able to make decisions on my behalf if any need making, and to have everything I own if anything happens to me. I don't want her to have to fight anyone. Finally, some honesty! Did you have to really think about to remember that negative or is it a driving factor every time Mrs. rob asks you to do the dishes?? hehe I would say the risk of divorce is a very real risk when you decide to get married. Do you ask yourself, "Oh no no maybe I shouldn't do it what if she gets sick of it and divorce me??". That would be a very stressful situation for me, I hate walking on eggshells. hmm. By far, the inability to walk out on your partner without any legal ramifications( or losing half your shit :/ ) seems to be the worst thing about being married. I'm sorry about the emotional/verbal abuse from your ex husband. That's awful.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Made me feel like shit. Always blew everything out of proportion. I remember sometimes I'm just not in a good mood so I just don't talk, the way she describes it after a week is nothing short of amazing. I slowly started believing everything she said, she would often tell me if it was someone else in her position they would've left long ago so I thought nobody else would like me. It was all very subtle, she slowly built up my dependency on her and then one day I thought to myself, "Fuck." because it didn't matter what kind of positivity I wanted whether emotional or physical, I just couldn't get it without her. That shit's toxic.
Never been married so i can't speak on that. I'm open to engaging in a relationship, but definitely not marriage. But even a relationship would be hard for me. I'm very much a loner but if i feel a connection with someone i may give them a try.
Best thing about being single is i can just focus on my own life. Fulfilling my own dreams and passions without any distractions that a relationship may bring. At this point in my life even finding time to date and compromise will be time consuming. There are many beautiful moments in my life that i've been blessed to experience and the worst thing about being single is having no one to share these beautiful moments with. Having no one to laugh with, to express yourself to. (January 30, 2017 at 9:15 pm)Catholic_Lady Wrote:(January 30, 2017 at 3:08 pm)Mamacita Wrote: I was married for ten years. I fucked it up. 8 years with the girl, I have no complaints.
We like to crack jokes and be weird together, I'd be lost with out her at this point. I enjoyed being single, but I'd take the relationship with her any day. RE: What's your most favorite thing about being Single/Married?

Single- Well for the most part I can do what I want when I want and that's cool. Hard to get into detail as I've never been married and don't know what it's like.
I have Schizophrenia to the point where I have audial hallucinations that are near constant. This keeps me from working so in terms of relationships I have the double whammy against me of poor finances and having a disease that most people probably associate with the bad guys in some horror movies or Adam Lanza. It started when I was 14 so I didn't really date as I spent years coming to terms with the disease. Married: A mini-me or two would be pretty cool, but not in this reality with this disease. It would be great to have someone that's always on my side but I would only get this if I chose wisely.
A bathroom to myself (and the cats).
