I love to support that which makes others irate.

After all, it's no different than what has been done to me on this forum a few times.

The IRA are as bad as any other terrorist group. I hope this asshat enjoys his new friends in prison. He's going to be there for a while.

I wonder why he confessed?  Is he getting a lighter sentence out of it?

That's the justice system for you.

You can be innocent, but if they target you, you better take that deal.

He confessed because the peelers have a habit of giving wood shampoos to those who don't. Not saying he's not guilty, mind, just that after enough thumpings and associated unpleasantness, most people will confess to sinking the Lusitania.

I have a couple of family members who were targeted by Republican terrorists during the conflict, and funnily enough another who was on a loyalist hit list.

So yes, IRA supporters annoy me.

That's true for the casual criminal and terrorist but it doesn't apply to the really hard-core type.

A classic example is in 2 Maccabees chapter 7  https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?se...ersion=CEB

If the Royal Marine had really been committed to the cause he ratted out on he would have bitten off his tongue instead of talking about his crimes.

Probably not.

Weapons charges, explosives, drugs and fraud.

He'll be inside for quite a while.

In that case it was silly of him to have confessed.

He didn't really need to confess. The PSNI and other agencies involved probably had him under surveillance for a while.

But how he was caught doesn't matter to me, I hope he enjoys prison.  Big Grin
