Yes, staff issued a new forum rule a short while ago asking that thread titles should be meaningful and not click-bait. It looks like two people left because they were upset about the rule, and it caused heated discussions because apparently the right to have vague or misleading thread titles absolutely crucial to some here, or at least find having thread titles legislated offensive.

While I can understand being upset about the rule, I guess... does that really warrant "leaving" the forum?

I was in favor of the rule as well, although I had reservations about how exactly one would draw the line. I don't find it too problematic though.
One could discuss whether it is at odds with sometimes snarky forum culture (as W'ist does argue), but quitting the forum over it seems very excessive to me.

Quitting the forum over it without fanfare, which we're all assuming Min has done, is at least honorable. Making a huge production number about it like a spoiled diva, that's something else.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

Anyone leaving with fanfare isn't credible in the first place. How'd you know if you're not coming back at some point? That's why I hardly look at the recently departed thread, because they usually don't mean it when making a fuzz over it.
I find the new rule as useful as a pimple on the butt also, but it's no reason to ragequit.
