The difference is that Bernie and Barack know the system is rigged towards the well-to-do people.  They think the wealthy should pay their share and are in favor of increasing taxes on themselves.  In contrast, the orange fucktard wants to give the rich (including himself) a huge tax break.  I totally understand the rich republican. But I don't know how the current distribution of the American tax burden doesn't piss the shit out of every average guy/gal.  It's as if all average republicans care about is whether or not they can buy that new assault rifle, keep others from getting an abortion, and keep gays from getting married.  Fuck everything else.  Republicans are happier bitching about some poor sap who used some food stamp money to self medicate instead of the billionaires who hide their money overseas to keep from paying taxes.

It's absofuckinglutely mind boggling to me.

It's the Horatio Alger myth writ large. Ordinary or below poverty income level republican voters think that through hard work, enterprise and a little luck they too have a chance to strike it rich. They therefore don't want to raise taxes on the rich because they envisage themselves to be part of that set in twenty or thirty years time.

They are obviously disconnected from reality.  I'd like to see the percentage of low to middle income folks who break into the top 1%.  My guess is that it's far far less than 1% Smile

Sure, once in a great while you get a driven individual who has a great idea and was in the right place at the right time, but those folks are few and far between.  Once your in the 1% club the money just stays in the family so you have old money controlling all that wealth for generations.  For that reason I have a ton of respect for people like Bill and Melinda Gates.  They have this massive fortune and are leaving their children a relatively small percent.  The rest goes to charity work.

Indeed comparing Trumps tax fuckery to Obama Or Bernie's is stupid 2 of them admit the system is rigged and tried to fix it . The former wants to rig it more for his own benefit.

As for Racheal looking stupid no more so the Republicans during the full 8 years of Obama and most of bushes years. Same goes for a fanatical  lunacy these are the fuckers who made Obama's condiment preference a top story. And refuse to let him pick a judge everyone liked . So no Republicans don't get to be holy then thou and pretend the President is flawless and unquestionable . there the crazy ones with who put ideology before the country and this decade proves it beyond reasonable doubt.

Nice dodge.

If it "actually" pisses you off that much then why didn't you rail against Bernie and barack the way you did against President Trump? If they know the "system is rigged" towards the well to do people aren't Bernie and barack just as guilty for taking advantage of that "rigged system"?  I draw Social Security and I work part time operating a Reach Truck in a warehouse. I can tell you, warehouse wages and Social Security doesn't give you much of an income, especially if you're the only wage earner in the household. My warehouse earnings are taxed at a 25% rate, the same tax rate that the President paid in 2005. barack paid a rate of 18.7% in 2015 and Bernie paid only 13.5% in 2014. These two guys make a hell of a lot more money than most of us, bitch about the rich paying their fair share, and then take advantage of the "rigged system" in the same fashion that they accuse the rich of doing. There's no difference, as you say, when those who rail against "well-to-do people" to pay their fair share are also taking advantage of the system. Double standards. The only people getting fucked are the blue collar working stiffs which the democrats took for granted in the election.

That kind of campaign rhetoric is what cost the democrats the election. The dems lost traditionally blue states, some that hadn't voted for a Republican president since the 1980s, in the last election. They took their once loyal and largest voting base for granted, the white blue collar working class in the coal and rust belt areas. Hillary didn't even step one foot in Wisconsin during her campaign. The voters in these areas want jobs to come back. They couldn't care less about the rhetoric. But if the dems want to continue making this all about guns, gays, racism, bigotry, and abortion instead of trying to win back their once loyal and largest base from the Republicans, be my guest. They'll lose the mid terms as well.

I think what pisses me off the most, being a low income blue collar working stiff who paid into the system all of his life, is that I can't share into the benefits that I'm being taxed to death to pay for. I tried for Obamacare, but on what I earn I can't afford $700 a month for just myself and my wife, and our doctor told her she needs to see a surgeon. The market place suggested we try Medicaid. Okay, we tried. We were turned down because I barely earned  above what Medicaid requires. I can get insurance through where I work, but who the hell has $3,200 out of pocket for a yearly deductible before the insurance pays anything? Yup. I'm without insurance because I can't afford it, and a lot of blue collar working stiffs are in the same boat. But, people who have lived on government assistance all their lives can enjoy the benefits of Medicaid and food stamps, the same benefits that we pay for but are not permitted to have. Five years ago I had to have two life saving surgeries that resulted in extended hospital stays. Luckily, at the time, we had insurance through where my wife worked. On one weeks notice, the place where she worked told their employees that they were going out of business. So, no insurance and no help. It's not just the rich who takes advantage of the system. It's definitely rigged against the blue collar working stiffs.

I've been in your shoes.  My wife went to college to become a teacher in the late 80's to early 90's.  The schools oversold teacher placements, and states started cutting education budgets around that time.  I think she did about 50 interviews across five states in a three year period before giving up.  In some cases schools were getting 600+ applications for a single 1st grade teaching position.  We borrowed $4000 from her parents and bought a 30 year old 14x70 trailer house with a leaky roof.  We had five years of college loans to pay off, and she made a whopping $8/hr working for head start.  I worked two jobs at the time.  I was on 12 hour shifts working in a warehouse as an inventory control person.  On my short three day week, I worked two days as a computer technician for a small mom and pop PC service center.  Many of those years we didn't have insurance.  My wife had her yearly checkups at planned parenthood, and she got her birth control there as well.  We thought about having children, but didn't want to raise a child in that situation.  Eventually my wife went back to school and became an RN.  I went back to school and now do medical IT.  We vote as if we are still that young couple trying to scratch out a living even if it's against our current self interest.  We've always felt the Democrats, while not perfect, had the best interest of low and middle class.  I could give two shits about defense and the military.  One you can blow the whole world up, everything else is just showing off.

Neither my wife nor I have ever collected a single government social benefit, but I don't begrudge those who do.   I grew up in rural America on a dairy farm.  I still live in rural America.  You might not think Republicans care about the rhetoric, but I see a metric fuckton of pro NRA, anti-planned parenthood, and "keep marriage between and man and woman" bumper stickers.  I went out to dinner with my parents a couple weeks ago and had to listen to my step father and a neighbor talk about the "Jew" who sold another neighbor some herford cattle.  I think between the two of them, they referred to this individual as a Jew about 20 times in 10 minutes.  I'm pretty sure the Jew had a name, but you wouldn't have known it.  I even consider my step dad pretty mild in these parts.  My mother isn't any better.  She's a brain washed Fox news watcher who sits at home posting stupid memes on facebook all day.  Looking for some sort of affirmation that all her slit narrow world views are correct.

We'll see what happens.  I'm for the blue collar working stiff.  I've been there.  I don't see how voting for a bullshit artist like Trump helps you.  A lot of people voted for change, but change can move in two directions whether you believe it or not.  If you don't think things can get worse, your not paying attention.

Why the fuck would we want there loyalty ?  The fact they would even consider Trump. Convinces us of there true colors and there character. So why would I want to court such people ? They can wallow in shit with there tangerine savior.

We? Who the fuck is, We? WE, doesn't include, YOU. YOU, don't even live in this country. It's, US. Not, YOU.

...and it's, THEIR, in the context you used it. Not, THERE.

How much money does Canada spend on education anyway?

Quote:What is the difference between There, Their and They're?
THERE
There is the opposite of Here. It means 'in that place' not here.
  • A: Where is my book? – B: It's over there.
  • I will look for a hotel to stay when I arrive there.
There is/There are = to show that something exists.
  • There is a book on the table
  • There are many countries in Europe.
THEIR
Their is a possessive adjective which is used before a noun. It shows possession, that something belongs to them.
  • Their house is big.
  • All of their friends were crazy.
  • The children put their books in their school bags.
THEY'RE
They're is a contraction of they are.
e.g. They're happy = They are happy
They're is usually before an adjective or a verb ending in ING.
  • They're very interested in the project.
  • I personally think they';re crazy!
  • They're singing loudly.

And you know that.

It wasn't offered as an excuse. It was conjecture regarding strategy. You don't need an excuse to skip doing something that isn't required. His base didn't care. The only people that cared were those who were never going to vote for him anyway.
