on the one hand I do think someone who transitioned later is going to have an advantage in terms of bone structure and possibly in other ways.
On the other hand athletes have advantages over other athletes all the time, in terms of height and weight.
I don't really think female UFC fighters for example should be in anyway be punished or looked down on for not accepting fights with transsexual women but I also personally don't have a problem with women fighting transsexuals if they want to.
Then if agreement is the issue it gets more complicated when it comes to team sports because a full team of women would have to agree that they're ok facing a team with a transsexual so I don't know about that sort of situation.
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
Impersonation is treason.

Not necessarily, there are some transwomen out there who are lucky enough to have a relatively feminine body type despite going through male puberty. I know it has already been said, but there are more pressing issues in the world to deal with.

Interesting issue. The article reminded me of a NGC (National Geographic Channel) program I saw, "Gender Revolution: A Journey with Katie Couric." There are some people born (do not know how rare or common it may be) as genetically intersex human beings. In the old days (1950s into the 80s) babies born with "underdeveloped" genitals were surgically assigned as either male or female. Most of these kids, growing up, identified with the gender they were most comfortable with. So some who were assigned being female preferred to be male and vice versa. That fact, along with the fact that in many other animal species, such as fish, for example, can change their genders naturally blows the fundamentalist argument of gays and transgenders not being born that way or "not part of God's natural order of things" out of the water sky high. But we all know that asshat Christians are not interested in facts, just in what they can get away with imposing on the rest of society.
All I can tell you is that from my time in the NICU (80's) when there was ambiguous genitalia, for what ever reasons (and there are multiple), the physicians recommendation was to make the child phenotypically female.

I'm fairly certain, and could be wrong, that chimerism is not a form of mosaicism.

There are more pressing issues in the world to deal with than what's for dinner, but I doubt you avoid having the conversation just because you could be talking about something more important. No one here is changing the world. We're just talking about a random topic.

The lower case k was a stylistic device to have it read like a snappy comment, but you may change it back if it bothers you.

You are correct. I used chimera to start a discussion (and to be weird). However, both chimera and mosaic address the same issue. Where do we draw the line?
Let the sports governing bodies decide the issue. Not the average lay person.

Oh I won't change it in that case then. Now my O.C.D. has reversed and seeing it change when I know that was intentional would make my eye twitch.
So don't change it yourself now please!
Oh so... do I have permission to quote the part I quoted (and no more and no less) in my sig?

I don't know where to draw the line. I'm just chatting about it.
Are we suggesting that some random layperson decide the issue? It is okay to talk about things you can't influence.
