The Case For Crap hitting the big screen?

The Case For Crap hitting the big screen?
As if theists have had not had enough of having their butts handed to them. Lee Strobel is having his life turned into a movie. Problem is his argument is that he was an investigative journalist out to prove his wife wrong but ended up believing. I think the reality was he had a boner. Christopher Hitchens was also a journalist and died an atheist even after being diagnosed with cancer. I will not accuse Lee of not being a former atheist, but only in that he let his emotionalism get to him. It is still the same selection bias and sample rate error when you consider all the countless religions and god claims in human history.

I just happened to see a story on the TV Show "Celebrity Page" today that some poor sucker producers, and or greedy producers were seeking to make money off his bias apology book.

There is no law that says shitheads cannot have movies made about their lives.  I'm sure some of our resident shitheads will lap it up.

Changes nothing.

Not their legal right to make the attempt no, but there is also nothing stopping me from countering it. I went to both the celebrity rag twitter page and his page and called them out on it. If skeptics never challenged theist absurdities our species would still have slavery and women would not be allowed to vote. The worst they can do is block me from their pages, but I can still post here to let other skeptics know what they are up to. In turn they may block me but the more skeptics that speak out on social media, and in public, the harder it makes it for them to sell their superstition without others countering it. I think from a logical standpoint we should counter them everywhere. Nobody is taking about their legal rights.

IF, this personal account is actually true, it's not all that surprising to me. Any douchebag who would be that vested in changing his or her spouse's personal beliefs to begin with, is probably quite the smarmy asshole. Stands to reason that such pompous fuckwads would think their life stories should be cinematic events.

Yes...folks will lap it up. What do you want?
People want something to believe in. They wish to be inspired. To have their pet beliefs, validated/reinforced.
And, they're dumb.

If you think posting some Tweets can change that, though, go for it.

It is not about tweets, it is about being everywhere. Look what asshole Trump has done. Surely if that dipshit can get big on ALL media selling his crap, surely skeptics can sell facts doing the same thing.

Yes, twitter and Facebook and Snapchat and Instagram, YES skeptics should be involved too. Times change and media changes and we cant expect theist to conform to a library all the time. Theism adapts through the same changing media any other product adapts. Soda and cars and music also win or lose with changing times. I don't see why we cant market FACTS with the same tools theists use to sell superstition. It seems facts win in the venue of an open society. Secrecy is what theism and superstition relies on. The biggest fear of theism is someone who has more information by the time they try to peddle it.

I am not expecting anyone to to convert a person on the spot in one communication. I am expecting skeptics to be as involved with the global community and all the medias involved. Theism loses over time as media expands our species seems to become more progressive. We cant sit out we should not sit out.

Um...yeah. I will be sitting this one out.
I will continue voting, and continue to take a stand when actual rights are being infringed upon/injustice is afoot, though.

Good luck, Brian.

the movie industry is dying they only push shit movies only for a quick buck hell they could have made a good movie about IT but hollywood these days is like
more jump scares more scary. to be honest there are only a few good directors in hollywood movies simply put aren't worth watching anymore. honestly a video game
is a better than any movie really because you can interact with it. but there is a few directors i wouldn't mind watching their movies because i know at least the quality and writing
of their films are half way decent.
Atheism is a non-prophet organization join today.

There had better not be a life story movie about Ray Comfort or Ken Ham.

The only movie I'd watch with those to con-men would be, "Ken Ham: My Ark Sank!"
