I was extremely disappointed in Obama for continuing middle eastern interference. He campaigned partly on closing GITMO and withdrawal of our troops. Neither happened the way he promised. I dislike warmongering from any administration. We are not the world police.
We can help. Send doctors, take in refugees, etc. I also hate to turn our bavks on murdering dictators, but its just a lose lose situation. More people die when we interfere.
But the US does the opposite. Turns away the refugees and bring more war.

at this point i should say we should have left we don't belong in the middle east we should leave it because in reality the middle east currently is a lost cause
and no amount of military action will fix it and they should fix their problems on their own same goes to Israel honestly we give them money for defense and
free military hardware they should be fine.

The worrying thing is that there are Dems around who haven't learned from Iraq and are willing to support him in his illegal and immoral military action.

To destroy any future base for rebellion by killing off the people in rebel held rovinces and towns. It's a favourie Assad tactic, and has been effective in the past. In 1982 the Muslim Brotherhood tried to stage an uprising in the city of Hama. After it was put down a significant portion of the population was murdered. The result is that Hama is currently one of the most pro-Assad areas in the country.
