I'm of course most interested to see how religious people are going to react, but atheists are welcome to post their thoughts too...

uh...duh!!

God planted the seeds to destroy religion with the resurrection of Christ.

There is a reason Christianity has been given a central book of rules like the Jews got. But rather two great commands. Love God with all that you are and your neighbor as yourself.

In those two commands it is impossible to establish a religious hierarchy.

Lol, god "planted the seeds" 2,000 years ago. Meanwhile, religion dominated the planet the whole time.

Looks like Jesus is a shitty gardener.

If the rise of atheism is a sign of the End Times, fans of the Book of Revelation should be ecstatic.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

Lots of things can destroy a religion over centuries and millennium. Political unrest, war, disease, natural disaster, famine, apathy, empathy, and questioning. But a real deity isn't selling anything, humans change over time nothing more. The dead mythologies of the past used to be literal beliefs, and today's held religions will morph to be unrecognized or die out completely and future generations will have new gods/religions and will look back at today and call it mythology.

Lets be fair here, Yahweh and Mo also are shitty gardeners, they all love stomping all over each other's gardens.

It would be nice if their human fans would stop shitting on each other.

Hate to burst your bubble their buddy, but popularity isn't an argument. Christians are actually the minority out of the rest of the 7 billion combined. Again, seems for the past 1700 years, which was when the first completed bible was written your precious magic baby cant spread his word to the point of being the majority of the world's population.

And funny how the Chinese and Aboriginals had no record of Jews or Christians during the alleged period. Funny how all the claims of Jews and early Christians seem to be stuck only in Europe, northern Africa and Mesopotamia during that time. Again, I wouldn't hire such a slow delivery driver for FED EX or Domino's Pizza.
