I live at one of the many points in the US where there will be a "ground zero".  (I live in a city with large defense contractors.)  I wonder what I will do when the thermonuclear war happens -- do I simply take a whole bunch of sleeping pills, or do I just climb into bed and run the fan?  Do I even bother waking my family, if it happens at night?  In front of our house are major sewer and storm lines -- have thought about trying to go down there, but it will be disgusting and smelly, and when we come-up (if we do), there will be nothing left.  Likely, I think that I will just go to bed, turn the fan on, and then go to sleep, assuming, of course, that it happens at night, and I hope that it does.

I feel sorry for the innocent people in both the North and the South. If the US (or anyone for that matter) attacks the North, thousands, possibly millions will most likely die.
