Cool Smile It was never about hate, just frustration, but I think that happens to everybody from time to time.

Quote:Everybody has a mom too.

I'd be more upset if you had said that in my mom's memorial thread, but I am assuming, because honestly I don't remember the post where you said "fuck off" to me had anything to do my mom in any case.

Sorry, I don't really follow you here; I just offered my condolences after what you said about your mother's death, and her last moments, in this thread. But that statement had nothing to do with our argument.

Quote:If the worst I get in my life is a "fuck off" I am doing good. Kurdish Christians, minority Muslims and LGBT and atheists have it far worse in other parts of the world. I will let you know if you really are upsetting me. But even then it would still be your choice to continue conversing with me or my choice to block you.

Indeed and thanks Smile

Or better yet, the chill pills or Bong Wink

I'll take the beer, you can keep the pot, but nether of us drive afterwords. That's all I can offer now that you have taken my killing spree away. You are such a killjoy.  Poor machetes what did they ever do to you?  Tongue

I'm guessing either little Rick put me on ignore-- or I used too many big words for him to comprehend.
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.

Dead wrong.  The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.

Quote:Some people deserve hell.

I say again:  No exceptions.  Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it.  As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

Not at all Luckie. Tut Tut
I only put on ignore a sub human that called my mother a whore on two occasions for no reasons other than try to discharge his frustration and mental problems on me but that is past.

About your long post I did not reply for both a lack of time and the fact that I already went through that topic but because you are so concern I reply and explain once again now.

You take a grasshopper.
Cut his head (don't do but that is what would happen if you do).
Even after few minutes that that happen the poor thing keep on jumping around.
How is that possible?
It is all about the nerves that keep on doing what they were doing before when the brain was directing them to do so.

In humans something similar happen.
Activity inside the brain is still there but the consciousness is gone therefore there can not be any real
experience other than an NDE experience.
Not even hallucinations because hallucination happen only when the consciousness is still there and the person is still alive.  Lightbulb

Oh fuck. This is turning into a Rik thread isn't it?

Fuck it.

My favorite argument isn't the lack of evidence, but rather the fact that they're all using the same terrible evidence.

Every religion makes claims of answering prayer, improving life, miraculous occurrences, and being "the one true science." They all defend their gods with the same logically fallacious bullshit.

If any religious person were being truly objective, they would see that if they accept the "evidence" supporting their own beliefs, they must also accept all the other beliefs that rely on the same evidence.
Verbatim from the mouth of Jesus (retranslated from a retranslation of a copy of a copy):

"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you too will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. How can you see your brother's head up his ass when your own vision is darkened by your head being even further up your ass? How can you say to your brother, 'Get your head out of your ass,' when all the time your head is up your own ass? You hypocrite! First take your head out of your own ass, and then you will see clearly who has his head up his ass and who doesn't." Matthew 7:1-5 (also Luke 6: 41-42)
