I was thinking...

RE: I was thinking...
Worst is when a plane crashes and there's 1 survivor out of 300+ passengers and call that a "miracle". Disgusting. Worse than a mafioso.

“Love is the only bow on Life’s dark cloud. It is the morning and the evening star. It shines upon the babe, and sheds its radiance on the quiet tomb. It is the mother of art, inspirer of poet, patriot and philosopher.

It is the air and light of every heart – builder of every home, kindler of every fire on every hearth. It was the first to dream of immortality. It fills the world with melody – for music is the voice of love.

Love is the magician, the enchanter, that changes worthless things to Joy, and makes royal kings and queens of common clay. It is the perfume of that wondrous flower, the heart, and without that sacred passion, that divine swoon, we are less than beasts; but with it, earth is heaven, and we are gods.” - Robert. G. Ingersoll

That's right. It's not a miracle. It's not even a miracle when the plane lands safely: it's planned-for and expected, with training and protocols applied to ensure that ending.

When a plane crashes, it's a shit sandwich for everyone involved ... including the survivors.

Sort of like when a house burns down, killing an entire family, but a Bible on the nightstand is left untouched by the flames. MIRACLES!

You can pray for shit, but it's god's plan whether it gets fulfilled. So what the fuck is the point of praying?

I'm so tired of the "god just said no" bullshit.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

I can personally guarantee such a thing is in no fucking way a 'miracle'.  Survivors guilt is no fucking 'blessing'.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

god told one or more of the family to pee on it before they got to toasty. Not so miraculous.

Or the one that Seth from the Thinking Atheist brings up.  A tornado strikes a town in Oklahoma and someone finds a bible sitting unscathed on a car, open to a certain page.

On social media people scream, "It's a miracle" and "my god is a good god!"

Meanwhile, not far away, a number of children drown in a shelter at a school. But that's god wanting the children to be with him.

If that's the case your god is a prick!
