It is common knowledge that countries like China and North Korea call themselves communist but they are actually capitalistic in practice. You are repeating things that everyone already knows. I get the feeling from your posts that you think are you the smartest person on the forum or something.

They can barely pay or feed their army as it is, even with the military first policy in place. The main reason that the armed forces back the regime is because they are brainwashed. If they attempt to defect or fight back, they along with their entire family are killed.

Brian, as usual, starts off with a faulty premise and spends the entire thread trying to unfuck the OP. And fails every time.

What? Your lack of understanding is not an emergency on my part.

If you read enough of my seemingly "random" subjects it still boils down to "we are NOT a separate species".

Now if you still don't understand me, here is a very famous speech by Carl Sagan.

Yes brainwashed, which is why I blame the leaders and not the general population. The family is still rich and the party is still rich. What you see from other countries are SANCTIONS that attempt to counter act their blackmail. A sanction is basically no different than getting a traffic fine, hit them in the wallet. That family invited the New York city Philharmonic to that city. One of the members and quite boldly asked one of their leaders while there, "Why are you serving us lobster and expensive wine while most of your country starves? Where did the party get the money to buy that expensive stuff to serve foreign guests? Lobster isn't cheap.  I didn't say the family was as rich as other closed societies, the Saudi Royal family seems to put on a far better show. But UN and his family are rich.

I'm still trying to discern the point of this thread. The gov't of NK and its leaders are scumbags and operate at the expense of their people? We already knew that..

per capita annual average income is $1000

imagine the tax burden to pay for nukes, missiles, submarines, and an ENORMOUS fully equipped army
