Well it was mission successful, she said I'd given her the best presents and she loved them. After going thru saying the usual "why would you do that when I told you not to!"
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

You could get something that you want so when she doesn't use it you can take it yourself.

I never got around to marrying or having kids. Just not something I wanted, at least on an emotional level.
I'm one who gets stressed on my birthday/xmas; as I get older (41 now), it's harder to think of anything I want or need. I have enough clutter. For me, as uncharming as it is, a Target giftcard is always well recieved. I always seem to think up things I do need if I get one.
Also, a movie card. Or an iTunes card. I, for one, love the movie experience, and listening to music on my PC.
