Do extreme right wing males have an inferiority complex
#11
RE: Do extreme right wing males have an inferiority complex
I have a first cousin that I have never met.  He lives in a southern state, is a farmer, a gun and hunting fanatic, and a Baptist preacher. We interact on Facebook occasionally.

I posted a list of school shootings since 2013 - just a list.  The implication was that something needs to be done.  He lost his freakin' mind.  He said the numbers were wrong, they were inflated, blamed terrorists and Muslims and that this was all part of the liberal plot to take away everybody's guns (and maybe even bibles).  I reminded him that I have guns and like target shooting.  That this was not about taking away people's guns, but about keeping children safe. (Surely something a preacher would support.)

He kept ranting, and some of my friends got into the fray, and he didn't "talk" to me for weeks - when I posted some Anti-Trump meme that irritated him.  I told him that he wasn't going to stop me from attacking Herr Gropenfuhrer Cheeto Hitler Dumbfuck, so maybe he should block my posts - better for his blood pressure.  He sulked for a few more weeks.

He is absolutely surrounded by people that think like he does - the white christian males are absolutely under attack, the queers and libruls have already taken over, that the USA desperately needs to go back to a time when EVERYBODY went to church (protestant, of course) every Sunday and women didn't work outside of the home.  He actually believes that he, as a white xtian male, would not be hired for most jobs in any large cities.  (Well maybe, because he would insist on preaching and politicking at the top of his lungs all the time.)  He thinks I'm an idiot because I believe that white xtian males still rule almost everything in the US of A.  I'm kind of glad we have not met.

Inferior?  Oh definitely.  He sees a whole way of life disappearing and the "educated" heathen libruls making a lot more money and looking down on him.  He's also envious but would never admit it.  He's praying fervently for Jeebus to return and to slay all of the evildoers so he can watch and cheer and celebrate.

The guy proceeded to call me a wimpy man and if there is ever an attack on our country he won't be there to defend me. I can defend myself, I own several guns. But what it is with these types of Right Wingers who feel they need to always act tough all the time? Is it some kind of inferiority complex??

I think he views you as someone who is dependent on others to protect you ie government, as opposed to someone who can protect themselves and be an individualist. I don't own a gun, but always thought it was strange how throughout human history governments want to prevent citizens from owning certain weapons, and then we have some citizens that want to give up their rights. It really comes down to being dependent and domesticated vs independent and free.

Granted I realize you own guns, and don't know what you mean by sensible in relationship to your argument with him was.

A significant number of those gun nut assholes end up blowing their own balls off.  Few ever need their precious guns for anything other than a status symbol among the retards in their communities.

I think it's fear. Good old fashioned, feat that which you don't know, fear that which you do know, fear god and fear the wrath brought down by those who don't slub scribe to god. Most if all though, fear of never having or keeping a wife. As I said, Neanderthaley.

Q: Why do they think women belong in the kitchen making them a sandwich?
A: Because that means her only lifeline to the outside world, is him. He can get away with anything he wants, and point at the bible to say why it's okay and that she must obey.

Ever think about the golden 50s or whenever it is they think America was just, the bees knees?
Men ruled all. Women had no rights. If they got depressed, which they did--or acted out, which they did--society was set up in a way to suppress her. Send her off for shock therapy, toss some drugs in her mouth. She'll play ball or she'll die in a Sanitoruum/Asylum, having been forcefully placed there by her husband and some others in the community mainly the Pastor of their church or such.
Then guess what? NEW WIFE TIMEEEEE!!!!!
SoMeone's gotta rear up those babies to fight the good fight against.. (insert random force here).
The bigger the force threat, the bigger the reaction. The more guns sold, the higher the profits sail, and all is well with the world in a particular order.

Sce then I think social enlightenment has threatened this way of life, which has held fast in the last reservoires it can--small towns. Since small towns literally all go to church, and politicians of said towns all work with the churches for voting--it makes sense that politicians would mimic this old time way of thinking, to draw in such a massive crowd of voters.

IIn the end I think the guns are just for funs. There's not much else to do in a cornfield,  I should know I grew,up in Augusta Kansas. A town so small we were surprised when Wal Mart showed up Tongue
I think the younger generations susceptible to this fantastical story of a time that did not exist, are tired of shooting in the cow pasture, and tired of sitting in their rooms playing shooter games that make them feel like badasses and gives them the want and need to let out their frustrations in what they believe would be good times (war). Games nowadays are so realistic they can get into. Very morbid scenarios. What would you do if ... Would you pass the test or not?

Of course, those not in this bubble who haVe experienced war and loss, know. Mexicans? They KNOW how to live a life of struggle, and they prevail. That's threatening, right there. Better men and women than anyone they know, exist so close and the only thing keeping them below the tread is money.

Of course this is just a human cycle. Rich people feel the same way about poor people, they're threatened. We all live somewhere, in this world's hierarchy of power and powerlessness.

The truth is, we need one another. The truth is, we could just kill each other. The truth is, a gun is what helps middle American white males feel secure in an unsecure, insecure world. And rich white American males are totally fine, with giving them a reason to believe that.
.
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.

Dead wrong.  The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.

Quote:Some people deserve hell.

I say again:  No exceptions.  Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it.  As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

I've known many such people. It's an unhealthy and deeply unappealing mix of resentment, frustrated rage, bewilderment, and schadenfreude.

Ie it really a generalized inferiority complex or over aggrandizing sense of self esteem ?
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
