It is only logical that as time and people progress that there will be less people believing in fairy tales.
It does, after all, require that older generations die out in order for younger generations to take their place.

Well, not quite, unless you count deists as atheists. They somehow seem capable of imagining all contradictory beliefs as true at the same time.
Well in the second century the Roman state considered christians atheists, and before that jews, all because both groups were unwilling to allow any validity to differing religious views.

So there.

I love how he taught raptors how to suck cock, personally. They've got great jaw manipulation.

A lot of this has to do with the fact that what we call atheists are just metaphysical naturalists. Atheism is a VERY bloated word that means a lot more than what it sounds and at the same time means less than what it sounds.
For example, try spotting the actual definition versus the bloated definitions:
*A person who does not believe in a deity's existence.
* a person who believes there is no god. Is very immoral because he/she wants to be and lives a depraved life.
*A person who knows there is a god yet denies him. Is a liberal or some sort of communist who wishes to destroy American and makes us all gay.

Retaining for oneself the right to be the final arbiter in comportment or non-comportment with all of Scripture doesn't seem to me to be included in the definition of 'theist'.
LOL, maybe I'm a 'big tent' atheist ??
