He is the last POTUS, whatever comes next is anyone's guess.

That can't be a good idea, particularly if they're very bad people.

Even before Trump, did some people think being an asshole AND the president of the US wasn't possible? Admittedly, all the presidents in my time had some reason to be respected even if we didn't see eye to eye. In that, Trump is unique. He is devoid of redeeming value. A zero. Actually a negative.
