Do christians believe in Witchcraft?

RE: Do christians believe in Witchcraft?
Eh, depends on the Christian, depends on what you'd call witchcraft. I'm sure you can find atheists who believe in something that could be dubbed 'witchcraft' as well.
In every country and every age, the priest had been hostile to Liberty.

Christians in Kenya are still burning witches. There usually is another motive such as greed but the superstitions of the iron age are still leading to the deaths of innocents.

I mean seems like a decent way to at least start proving the bible.  Show me some witchcraft I can do.  Because having magic powers seems pretty awesome.  I'm a heathen so I don't even have to worry about going to hell for witchcraft.  I'm already going for not believing.

So let's see some simple spells I can compel the dark lord to let me use.  I promise not to set any Christians on fire unless they try to set me on fire first.  Just some simple spells.  Like WIngardium Leviosa or that spell that gives you infinite replenishing sandwiches.  I'll even take accio!  My kids would get a kick out of it.

Maybe you should ask if the modern term "witch craft" has anything to do with what the bible identifies.

astrology, having a familiar spirit, etc.

Maybe not a particularly good definition for Wicca, for instance, but an amazingly precise one for Joan Quigley.  And then we come back to the $64 question, why grant a pass for that abomination ??
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

So you do not see a mark difference between a demon possession now and say the one Jesus addressed himself?

So to are the examples of Witchcraft also seem alot stronger. (envoking demons ext) to grant wishes

So, you believe in witchcraft, then?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Same bullshit, different millennia. I'm sure you have a perfectly rational explanation as to why that's not the case, as usual.

If the Evans and Fundies can OVERULE a clear and unambiguous prohibition from God Himself, makes one wonder just how much power REAL witches can wield, don't it ?

You can't say that anymore Vorion because I have a problem with it.

We have that in common Lek! I have a serious problem with politicians consulting astrologists. I have a serious problem with them consulting Billy Graham too.

Witchcraft is not something that is well defined; of course, there are individuals who claim to be witches, but in the Middle Ages, it was thought that witchcraft was invoking the power of the Devil for malevolent or even curious purposes.

My mother believed there was witchcraft. Of course she also believed that the US was the breeding ground for the Anti-Christ and that we were living in the end times.
