Religions were invented to impress and dupe illiterate, superstitious stone-age peasants. So in this modern, enlightened age of information, what's your excuse? Or are you saying with all your advantages, you were still tricked as easily as those early humans?

Jeebus apparently isn't faithful to carry out his promises. Oh I'm sure the parents who let their kid die didn't have enough faith.

Do the parents who don't go to jail for this at least have their kids taken away from them after this kind of thing happens? And more importantly, when the hell are we going to wake up and admit that parents are violating their kids' civil liberties by forcing religion on them?

I should have waited for you to post that...my previous post address both yours and vorlon's. Honestly, indoctrination is the problem. Compulsory church attendance. Shooting down questions. It's all nurture. At best nature would lead to deism. You can't read a holy book objectively and just feel things 'click'. Especially if they're covered in dust in the far corner of the 'fiction' section.
