I prefer agnostic (actually, it's ignostic, ie: I have no idea what you mean by the term "god"), simply because our real universe is so magestically complex that almost anything is possible for an explanation of our existence. IE: We are in a sim, or someone's multitasking dream, or just pure consciousness, etc. It doesn't hurt to feel that way and adds a little harmless mystery to ones life. But what I never entertain is that we are somebody's creation, exclusively for them to judge and punish. That is such a primitive and blatantly human notion.

When someone tells you "god sent his only son to save the world" - are you sitting there thinking "What sent his son, what are we talking about?"..or do you have a pretty good idea of what they're driving at?

I am an atheist. If I were to consider agnosticism that would mean considering possible the existence of every god imagined. What cognitive tool would you use to discern one god from another? So, to be an agnostic is to accept the possibility of Zeus, Krishna, Vishnu, Yahweh, Jehovah, Allah, Odin, Mictlantecuhtli, Quetzalcoatl, Ahayuta-Achi, Ahura Mazda, Mars, Apollo, etc. We do not demand proof of the nonexistence of fairies, Santa Claus, or any other childhood fantasy. No one objects when a child matures and tells us "I don't believe in Santa!' . That is considered a right of passage.

Atheism and agnosticism don't overlap in qualia terms.

Bunch of fence sitters.

I think ALL us agnostics have humiliated God to the point of no return! So it doesn't really matter anymore! If he does exist, we're all gone anyway!
(God, if you're reading this, you know I don't really mean it. I'm just trying to mix in and take notes for you! shhhhhh!)

If Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson are correct Agnostics and Atheists are going to burn the same. You might as well commit just for the hell of it!

If you know that you can't know or prove that God is real, but you believe anyway (on faith I suppose), you're an agnostic theist. If you know that you can't know or prove God is real, so you don't believe, you're an agnostic atheist. If you don't know whether you believe or don't believe, you're probably just confused; but I suppose 'agnostic' as a noun instead of an adjective would be an appropriate word to describe someone who wavers between believing and not believing. Otherwise it just seems like a smokescreen to deflect from stating whether you do or don't believe in any gods.
That said, if you want to identify as an agnostic, that's your business.

Um . .
Falwell and Robertson use different versions of the Bible, while it is very likely both are wrong, we definitely know for sure one of them is WRONG.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
