Atheists, what are your thoughts on us Agnostics?

I personally see it as there is really no evidence to prove he exists, however, I also feel there is no evidence to prove that he does not exist. BUT...I do think that the lack of evidence of his existence sort of hints that it is more likely that a God does not exist. I believe it is scientifically irresponsible to say he does exist and vice versa. But like I said, due to the lack of evidence provided for that existence, it seems more likely that there is not a God. I'm an agnostic atheist. I don't know with certainty, but I sure as hell don't swallow the religious claptrap.
And if you're getting the details wrong about your God (and he turns out to be the real one) you are a heretic.
Wouldn't that suck ?!?!?!?! You manage to pick the right one, and then engage in just a little retconning, or maybe you're not detail oriented about all the appropriate/required God inspired doctrine, edicts, rules, promulgations, commandments and laws and you're still FUCKED. The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
Pick a side, fuckasses!
Nah, I can appeciate why a lot of people are agnostic, even if I'm stone-cold atheist. That sort of god is ridiculous. You probably -are- a gnostic atheist. Well, like I said, if I thought that was the whole show I'd be a gnostic atheist. I just don't think so. God belief was real, gods as extra psychic phenomena never were. I'm not sure what it means but I think there may be a worthwhile salvage mission here. Literal gods are not in play, but figaturive ones may be. I want to know what it is about us which evokes such notions. Hey, we all have our vices. But yeah, I'm gnostic in my atheism toward literal gods, you know - the kind nearly every theist has in mind. I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

You do not speak for at least one other atheist. (June 24, 2017 at 8:06 pm)Khemikal Wrote:(June 24, 2017 at 8:02 pm)Whateverist Wrote: I want to know what it is about us which evokes such notions. No, I'm quite certain there is something which god belief has been about. It was never about literal gods but it was most certainly about something. Since that something wasn't empirical in nature it was something internal, something within the subjective experience of people who believed. I don't think I've said anything surprising. But if you have some reason you think I should agree with you, go ahead and run it by me. Otherwise I guess you're just saying you disagree. Got it.
Since we atheists/agnostics agree that the gods as described in the holy books do not exist, and it is hard enough to even find a theist to describe them to us even in the faintest of detail, how on earth can we atheists or anybody for that matter even begin to talk about any other non standard god and what IT may be composed of or what their agenda is?
We can't. So let's make shit up. Theists...Your turn...I'm leaving this to the experts.
