The first xtian canon was Marcion's (c 140 AD) but the proto-orthodox considered that a heresy anyway and it sure as shit did not include the OT!
You'll have to explain your attachment to the Trulian Council because it was strictly an Eastern thing. The western church did not accept it.

You are not supposed to know anything about the Amalekites. Purge them from your memory.
Exodus 17:14 (NOG) = "Yahweh said to Moses, “Write this reminder on a scroll, and make sure that Joshua hears it, too: I will completely erase any memory of the Amalekites from the earth.”"
So, did Jesus know about them during His ministry ?
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

There were tons of writings from the various Christian communities in the first two centuries after Jesus' death:

Various individuals were telling and retelling story after story. There was never "a gospel" to begin with.

Except there is no such "prophecy" in the OT. Matty made it up.
I'll agree that there is no written prophesy such as this. If he quotes numerous prophesies that are obviously genuine and one that doesn't appear to be I am inclined to look deeper.

Sure there was a gospel. Jesus' disciples were teaching it long before anything was written. You guys are going through the bible with a fine toothed comb looking for any discrepancy you can find. Even if you do find some, it doesn't at all prove that it message is false any more than can be done with most true accounts.

No scholar believes that the Gospels were written by any of Jesus' disciples, and on a minority believe them to contain eyewitness testimony. They were written by second or third generation Christians who were living far outside of Palestine and were written in Greek, which Jesus and his illiterate disciples did not speak or read.

Here you see xtian apologetics in all its glory. Point out a clear mistake and Lek runs for the cover of "SO WHAT.....HE MUST BE RIGHT!!!!!!!!"
Sorry Lek, its bullshit and I get that you don't want to hear it but bullshit it remains.
Add that to the fact that there is no reference to any polity called "Nazareth" for the godboy to be from and you have a definite problem.
BTW, surely you know that large parts of your precious gospels were lifted directly from assorted OT bullshit? They obviously did not have plagiarism rules back then!
Quote:2 Corinthians 9:9 (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever.
Psalms 112:9 He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour.
Quote:Matthew 21:5 Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.
Zechariah 9:9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he [is] just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.
Quote:Matthew 13:35 I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.
Psalms 78:2 I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old
There is a shitload of these. Prepare your excuses.

Jeremiah 17:9 “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?”
Well, the heart only pumps blood around, they didn't even know that. But if they mean the concept of the mind residing in the heart, common in many ancient pre-modern beliefs, then how could anyone know god anyway as hearts are deceitful?

Fine-tooth comb? I'd break every bone in my body tripping over all of them on the first few pages alone.
Religions were invented to impress and dupe illiterate, superstitious stone-age peasants. So in this modern, enlightened age of information, what's your excuse? Or are you saying with all your advantages, you were still tricked as easily as those early humans?

There is no better way to convey the least amount of information in the greatest amount of words than to try explaining your religious views.

Fuck me that's a bold one. How do you know what Jesus' disciples were saying before it was written? Shit, Ken Ham is right after all.... were you there? How can you know FOR SURE anything that Jesus or his disciples said?

Fuck me, that's a bold assertion. How can you know anything about what Jesus or his disciples allegedly said or did before it was written down? I think I may now have to convert to Ken Hamism: were you there? And if you can even misconstrue RD's quote about atheism, then you are just dishonest. Do you believe in any other gods? If not, you are atheistic about them.
