Thankfully, the RCC has lost a shitload of cred in the rest of the world in the last decades. We're not all the way there yet, though. The Vatican getting raided by the Italian police for money laundering sure got their knickers in a bunch. I'm looking forward to the day when the stupid shit religious people bring to a bargaining table between sovereign states (where they have no business being, anyway) ends up by being ignored as the stupid shit that it is.

Nothing will happen, they will just pay off anyone involved and bury this in the catacombs. Your dealing with a group that has good hitmen on their pay roll, someone gets to loud they go away one way or another. They have never been to scared of the media, it's easy in this day and age to make a journalist vanish.

Something will happen ask you can't just keep hiding shit behind a religion and say you are good. I mean look at Ireland they gotten fucking sick
of the bullshit the catholic church was doing. Ireland is a good example they are turning atheist because of the church and people specifically the catholic
church is in a panic.

I remember some people coming out a few months ago and indictating G.Pell molested them.
It's finally gaining traction. I personally wouldn't have thought he was like that.
Although it's very likely he was involved in the coverup from back then which he lied through his teeth at the royal commission to protect his mates, but this will be his downfall.
Sadly, his reputation is ruined irrespective of his innocence.

Yeah this is great that they are going after Cardinals now because maybe in few years they even go for the Popes.
And now, the song of songs
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

That's the one, I tried to post it earlier but the link didn't work.
"Oh, Cardinal Pell
My lawyer just rang me to tell
Me this song could get me
In legal trouble
Oh well, Cardinal Pell
If you don't feel compelled
To come home by a sense
Of moral duty
Perhaps you will come home and fricking sue me"

Even though the Vatican may have money eventually the people that love them will turn on them. Hell just imagine angry mobs of people raiding the vatican
i can see something like that happening.

True enough. By the same token, the RCC is no longer able to exert much influence in secular affairs, for which many of us can be thankful. I give an historical nod to those who have given their all to get us to this point.
