90's song thread: best and/or worst
July 8, 2017 at 12:26 am
I really hated 1990. It seemed like culture was changing from the 80's that was the best of my childhood: music, TV, fashion, even cars were becoming uglier. And it never got any better that whole decade. However, now, at 41, in the year of no lord 2017, I'm a bit nostalgic. I actually do listen to some 90's songs now. And so do you.
Post them. Here's three of the best (IMHO):

This was right at the tail end of the 90s and more of a "millennium" song, but "Waiting For Tonight" my favourite JLo song still to this day;

"Ironically like the nativist far-Right, which despises multiculturalism, but benefits from its ideas of difference to scapegoat the other and to promote its own white identity politics; these postmodernists, leftists, feminists and liberals also use multiculturalism, to side with the oppressor, by demanding respect and tolerance for oppression characterised as 'difference', no matter how intolerable." - Maryam Namazie
