1)
The doctors should be given the opportunity to use any part of my body for transplants, research etc.

2)
No unnecessary expense should be incurred for funeral arrangements, the cheapest coffin, body bag etc. for cremation or burial (no point spending good beer money on feeding the worms or the flames – a coffin is expensive firewood!)

3)
At the funeral there should be no priests, vicars, ministers, shamans, witch doctors or other peddlers of superstitious nonsense.

Just to add, my wife has said she wants her ashes put on top of a firework and blasted into the sky amid a shower of sparks Smile
Sounds like as good a way as any other!

How about embalmed with high tech plastic resin and utilized for your various orifices ??

Why not, I will be dead so it won't matter to me, if someone gets a bit of fun out of it I say go for it!

Disturbing to contemplate, that idea is not original with me, and it is based on a real life occurrence . . . .

Apart from donation, I never did understand why anyone would care about what happened to their own dead body. I mean, you're gonna be dead anyway... why not allow your loved ones who are still alive to do whatever will give them the most closure/peace?
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

When I die, I want to become a zombie, get out of my casket in the church and scare the bejesus out of everyone!
Now that would be funny!

Plastination by Gunther Von Hagen is the way to go:

I just want a very short graveside service, perhaps with a reading from Thomas Huxley.  After that, I want a decent buffet for the guests, nothing too elaborate, but I want them to spend most of their time at the buffet!  The burial service should be announced but not the buffet, for obvious reasons.
