Religion V Education

There are some theists however, that do get smarter, but then pride gives them pause because they have already committed to religion.

And there is the problem where the person has had no chance before being indoctrinated and to remould their mind back to logical thinking is a hard process.....try teaching science in a religious school, for the most the children are logical, but there are a few that have had a seriously blinkered upbringing and point blank refuse to change their views. It also gets a bit hairy when parents complain when you do a walkthrough of the scientific method and relate it to how it does not work for religion. Major fireworks can follow.

Because religion depicts an alternative reality that does not exist in actuality. In the real world we have knowledge which is past through education.

Some people are confused and don't understand reality, this being a lack of education, and it will lead those people to false assumptions about reality (a.k.a religion)

My theory

Quote:Because religion is ignorance pretending to be otherwise. Secular education dispels the ignorance.

I was taught in a Christian school. I had to go to chapel once a week. It was one of the top schools of where I was living. We learnt about Jesus, we had a class could 'Bible' I loved it, it was super easy!
Its ok to have doubt, just dont let that doubt become the answers.

You dont hate God, you hate the church game.

"God is not what you imagine or what you think you understand. If you understand you have failed." Saint Augustine

Your mind works very simply: you are either trying to find out what are God's laws in order to follow them; or you are trying to outsmart Him. -Martin H. Fischer
