That the trumpsters cast their votes out of bigoted and irrational fears is just a brute fact.  I don;t see why any decent human being would stop bitching about that - but...I agree with you to some extent in that when dems legitimately get trounced - and not by voter suppression or district packing and cracking..it;s a testament to how shitty their candidates and campaigns are.  Obviously, even the bigots have enough shame to constantly protest to being called out for what they are...and given a suitable chance to not overtly expose themselves -as- bigots they'd probably take it.

I say that, but, otoh, they had about a dozen chances in the last presidential election...and they went with hur dur, brown people...all the same. So, maybe that;s just me being optomistic and yall will continue to overtly cast your votes in support of bigotry no matter what while simultaneously denying what very clearly goes to the fabric of who you are.

In any case, all I see in the above..and the many comments like it from all corners of the alt right, amounts to little more than a toothless threat. Well, if that were true, it would only mean that the dems had finally taken a principled stand to their own political detriment - which is something that they get roundly (and rightly) criticized for not doing. The choice being to lose with dignity or win under shame, I'd take the former over the latter if I were a dem...particularly in the knowledge that there simply won;t be enough of you guys in the coming election cycles to continue to impose your pre-civil rights vision of america. Some things cannot be negotiated over or compromised upon. IMO, that;s one of them. If winning means accomodating institutional racism, then a person should have the decency to fucking lose.

The Dems lost them, Trump's losing them, and it appears to me that no one can make them happy because the kobs they lost weren't lost to immigrants, they were lost to automation, and nothing is slowing that train down.

We've done the "don't tax the rich" and "deregulate" since Reagan, and from then till now the GOP ON AVERAGE, has controlled the bulk of the power of all 3 branches in that 36 years. The GOP has used race in that time to frighten just enough of their far right base to act as that distraction to perpetuate bad policy. 

The GOP sells fear to distract from their bad economics. 45 was never "telling it like it is". He simply unmasked the hate peddling of the GOP.

"Get over it" is the new mantra, but again, even that is a bullshit act they sell to get BOTH blacks and whites pitted against each other to ignore wallet issues.

Where did I say I thought white people were being persecuted? I just pointed out how you stupid shit Dems lost the support of the white working class voters in the rust belt and coal states. They continued losing their jobs under Obama and the Dems continued to ignore them. The Dems had no message. There was no conning. You Dems just fucked your own selves in the ass. Even Schumer said the Dems needed a better message other than resist. Try winning back the WH without those white working class voters and see how far you get.
