Critics were trolls before trolling was cool. Fuck 'em.

As a rule, I never listen to what critics have to say about a film. I don't listen to the Internet hive mind either. That's just as bad.

I watch the trailer and then try to guess how much of the good stuff have I already seen?

I thought that might happen with this film, but the Easter eggs alone were entertaining enough.

Oh, fuck off (in the nicest way possible), nostalgia and a strong emotional connection to beloved fictional characters is easily understandable as a motivation to want to see Spidey, especially if wanting to see him on the big screen was a dream we grew up with at least ten years before it actually did first do that; and this is the first time they've actually done a big-screen Spider-Man CORRECTLY. At least it's entertaining, if nothing else. Dunkirk looks boring and depressing. I don't even know if I'd go see it if the let me in for free.
Religions were invented to impress and dupe illiterate, superstitious stone-age peasants. So in this modern, enlightened age of information, what's your excuse? Or are you saying with all your advantages, you were still tricked as easily as those early humans?

Hey, I am not judging Big Grin . . . at least not harshly because I used to go and see those films.

I as a whole and skeptical toward American sci-fi and its blockbusters. I enjoyed Dunkirk and it made me very fearful of boats followed by the fast pacing it had which made it very unsettling. The film is just an hour and 30 minutes long which is very unusual for a modern war film.

Also the film is not advertised correctly at all, it is very unlike its trailers. Spiderman Homecoming I have not seen and I have not seen any of Marvel/Disney's films this or last year. I did fall asleep through Civil War though, it did not hold my attention at all and was painfully bland.

I understand your love of the childhood you had but I shed all of my existing childhood when I was a teenager under bad circumstances. I had lost all interest in video games by the time I was 19 along with most of anime and TV.

RE: The Dark Tower-Film
Well when those things (superhero comics and cartoons) are literally the only part of my young life that didn't suck ass, it's not easy nor really desirable to do that with those icons. My bad circumstances started from day one so there wasn't really an occasion for my tastes to radically shift since it was more or less uniformly shitty for me. It's a letdown when the films not done well, but generally Marvel/Disney knows what they're doing. I'm hoping others who make films based on adaptations take care to do the same as far as hiring the right talent and putting effort and money into the right areas. King films don't exactly have the best track record in spite of talented casts and good source material.

Seen them both. I go to the movies now for the same reason I went to see Vincent Price in "The Last Man on Earth".
