Don't forget the magic sky daddy's omniscience, he knew the silly cow would chomp on the apple before he created her. Er, hang on, what about omnipresence? Not only did he know she'd scoff the fucking thing he stood there and watched her do it! What the fuck is wrong with people that they believe this shit?
It's amazing 'science' always seems to 'find' whatever it is funded for, and never the oppsite. Drich.

and why a forbidden fruit and not a forbidden vegetable ??

think about it
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

Also, Adam and Eve prior to the tree incident, were imbued with their immortal souls. Isn't knowledge of good and evil an inherent property, if you will, of an immortal soul ??

And then, how would the fruit thing effect all other souls ??

After the apple, all other souls were imbued with the property of inherently understanding good and evil, seems odd such a big software update, if you will, would occur so early on in the history of the universe. Are other changes to all immortal souls still possible? Like endowing them all with Universal Salvation ????

Only if your bible is missing genesis, romans, and corinthians................? For an exonerated woman, god gets awfully biblical on her ass, as well as all her descendants, a dragon (and all it's descendants), and the dirt under their feet.......Wink

Meh, people focus too much on the knowledge of good and evil, particularly in light of original sin.  The sin was not "eating a fruit" had god told them not to pick up pinks stones..that would have been the sin - it was what that act represented.  Disobedience, disbelief.  God had told them that they couldn't eat the fruit, he told them that they would die. The Dragon made a compelling case to the Rib Woman that this was..if not an outright lie, not the whole truth.  Turned out, the Dragon wasn't bullshitting her, so she gave some fruit to Dirt Man, like you do.

The compelling themes in this narrative are, in my opinion, largely lost in popular conception of the story through centuries of ignorant literalism.  OFC it doesn't make any sense if you view it through that lens, that lens is batshit crazy. What it does make sense as, is an establishment myth set to the tune of the Nick Cage Theory of Parenting, which is something we still subject our children to routinely, unto this very day. If you do x, then you'll -DIE!-.

I know you're having all sorts of new thoughts Sally, but if you open that boys pants you'll get an std....and then you'll -DIE!-. It's telling, that god cursed the man, essentially, to working for a living, and the woman, to having a painful child birthing experience.

-indeed....and, just as an addendum to the above, something tells me that gods "curse" was redudent, I;m pretty sure that adam was going to have to spend his days toiling like a mule and that eve was already a nagging wife who would, in fact, be wishing that he were dead soon enough..after whatever the fuck it was they were doing naked in the forest with their "fruits".

The writing was already on the wall. It was time for adam to get a job and that slut eve was gonna get hers in nine months. Sky Daddy wasn't going to put up with anymore of their disrespectful mooching shit under his roof - so out they go, before they broke into his private liquor cabinet. He even changed the locks behind them.

Wink

A rather contemporary creation tale.

Maybe you should be a writer for the 700 Club ?
