This Was Apparent To A Lot Of Us Before The Election, Laddie!
http://www.rawstory.com/2017/08/disgusti...candidate/

Quote:‘Disgusting and monumentally stupid’: Founder of ‘Trumpism’ journal denounces his former candidate

Quote:Krein, along with other supporters, thought Trump’s more startling soundbites, like the the times he criticized the Mexican heritage of a federal judge and appeared hesitant to condone former KKK grand wizard David Duke, “were merely Bidenesque gaffes committed during the heat of a campaign.”

“It is now clear that we were deluding ourselves,” Krein wrote. “Either Mr. Trump is genuinely sympathetic to the David Duke types, or he is so obtuse as to be utterly incapable of learning from his worst mistakes. Either way, he continues to prove his harshest critics right.”

I've talked with people who said, "Give him a chance, and he'll act Presidential". I held no such expectations. I'm living in a fairly conservative chunk of people here in California, and a lot of people still think that the Chump is doing a good job.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

I read his op-ed in the NY Times today. Why are people so stupid? I still don't get why people thought Trump would start to act "more presidential" after some point.
I think it was PT Barnum who said "there's a sucker born every minute". No wonder we have a conman in charge now.

It's also astonishing what wasn't apparent before or after the election.

The Trump presidency is everything I thought it would be, though I must say he has managed to be even more unhinged and incompetent than I had expected. I know some Trump supporters, and they are now sheepish to a man if still unwilling to completely disavow him.

They'll come around. He'll see to it.

Gotta be proud, minority of American voters. Great job!

Just read his whole thing, he's still deluding himself, particularly in imagining that trumpism is a good idea for america that is only suffering for having bad representation in one Donald John Trump, and that a less trump-like trumpster might come along and rescue it.

Jerkoff

Further investigation of this person shows that he finds "promise" in racist immigration policies aimed at giving the boots to the browns upon which we depend but.... for some silly reason, draws the line at nazis. Seems to me he's just bitching about how trump has been outing his entire clique and that..because of this, they may not get the opportunity to do the genteel racism to folks.

Where was Making of Trump before the damn primaries?

Still, a Cruz or Santorum with rabid conservative ideas like Trumply, but without tweeting bizzaro world alternate personality all the time and self-neutering himself would have been . . .

Wait a minute.

EVERYBODY in the senate HATES Ted Cruz, his administration would have been a cluster fuck too. Franken really lets him have it in Giant of the Senate.

damage needs to spread throughout 'pubworld however

Trumply with no collateral devastation isn't a desirable outcome

and I'm still not willing to ignore the dems compulsion to never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity. Putting up a bunch of obvious cretins for Congressional races in 2018 could still allow 'pubs to pick up seats. And I know it's never happened in an off year. But there's enough incompetence and delusionalism to still cause a clusterfuck for dem chances at increasing seats.
The strategy now should include a clear recognition that EVERY dem seat up in 2018 is vulnerable, and there will be absolutely no easy pickings from the 'pub side, no matter what Trumply fucks up.

No congressional seat should be considered an entitlement. They all need to be campaigned for as though they all need to be earned. Good candidates, taut campaigns.
