On June 16, 2015, Donald Trump announced his candidacy for President of the United States. Shortly after he jumped head first into the pool of presidential hopefuls, it was alleged that his team had paid actors to wear Trump gear and hold signs at his announcement.

According to a July 17, 2015, piece from The Hollywood Reporter (THR): "New York-based Extra Mile Casting sent an email...to its client list of background actors, seeking extras to beef up attendance at Trump's event."

The FEC document claims that Donald J. Trump for President, Inc. didn't pay Gotham the $12,000 it was owed until October 8, 2015--nearly four months after the firm provided its services to the campaign. The FEC document also notes that "according to the Complaint, because Extra Mile paid the actors directly, the Committee should have reimbursed Extra Mile for those payments." It's unknown if Extra Mile was ever reimbursed for their alleged participation.

There is further evidence suggesting actors were indeed hired. Actor Domenico Del Giacco allegedly uploaded a photo to his now-deleted Instagram account showing himself, as well as a woman identified by THR as Courtney Klotz, wearing Trump tee shirts and holding signs at Trump Tower.

Something else that happens is if a 'wrong thinking person' seated in the main arena area during the convention goes to the restroom or grabs a snack, when they return, their seat is occupied by an 'approved person' and the displaced person gets to go sit way up in the bleachers, and usually out of the sights of the TV cameras.

And what's a 'wrong thinking person'? Someone holding up an unapproved placard, someone recognized as lacking 'purity' in the consistency of support, someone perhaps posting something online that's contrary to what TPTB want to see, etc, you get the idea.

Conventions are highly engineered media events.
