As for what you had to say - I would encourage you to really examine some of your own biases and approach. There are a lot of people in this world who do not agree with your viewpoint, and judging someone based on what they believe, however fundamental it is to who they are, is tricky territory. I find myself guilty of it at times, myself, so I understand where you're coming from. With that being said, I would encourage you, no matter how much you disagree with someone's views, to not base their worth on whether or not you agree with them. As someone who's going into the medical field, I know a lot of other Christians and people of other religions going into the medical field or who are already in the field, and most of us don't wear big crosses to make it obvious who is and isn't religious. As such, you may owe your life or your recovery to someone who's religious, but I hope it doesn't come to that in any form.
Clearly, there is a bit of a past with you on this topic - what is your past with this, if I may ask? Obviously, only tell me what you feel comfortable disclosing: I may be able to relate.
"Medical field" is fairly nondescript. Which medical field? What graduate school in S Cali?
