SJWs have been offended by less, making videos recently about how it's horrible to call women girls, and how it's racist for white folks to use Michael Jackson popcorn laughing gifs because that's 'digital blackface'. Really?  It reeks to me of ESPN trying to jump on a publicity bandwagon in a desperate attempt to maintain their quickly-waning relevance.  Really seems like corporate grasping, not ESPN caving to 'triggered' 'SJW fags'.  I haven't seen any of the news stories on this topic even say that anyone wanted Robert Lee removed - it's just more clickbait desperation.  In the CNN article it even says that the decision was made by ESPN execs and Robert Lee, not driven by some public outcry.

And why does it seem that the ones complaining the most about "SJW fags" are always the most asshole-ish that get upset that other people don't want to listen to their shit?

Um no, you don't have to agree with ESPN's decision to understand the intent. 

It still remains that pro sports and sports networks need to STILL stand up to bigotry, much in the same way empathetic people did in sports in helping blacks break the pro sports segregation.

I can have a civil conversation with them. I'm not on here calling people cunts in every other thread like some posters on here, but it seemed appropriate to use the word fag in my post. Why don't I completely eliminate the word from my vocabulary? Because then the SJWs win. First they tell us to stop saying 'fag' and 'that's gay', then they tell us we can't say 'bossy', and then eventually we can't even have a certain hair style or use a Michael Jackson gif because MJs black and I'm not. Screw all of that. If I want to use the word fag every once in a while to describe a group of faggots, then that's what I'm going to do. It's no different than gay people shoving it down your throat at a Pride parade. Homophobes disliking it so much just makes the gays want to shove it down your throat even more, and good for them. The interesting thing about this to me is that apparently multiple people of authority at a major media outlet made this decision. This wasn't the impulsive action of some fire-brand or spineless bowing to public pressure. Apparently, they decided to do this on their own without prompting. IMHO it reflects contempt for their audience.

Think of all the countless women that have been beaten, raped, or killed while being called cunt. I don't see anyone complaining when Minimalist calls people cunt in every other thread he makes. I'm usually extremely polite and respectful with most people, partly because I don't believe in free will and therefore I don't hate anyone and understand that other people are just going to do what they do, and they couldn't change that if they wanted to.
