SJWs have been offended by less, making videos recently about how it's horrible to call women girls, and how it's racist for white folks to use Michael Jackson popcorn laughing gifs because that's 'digital blackface'. This all may sound hard to believe, but it's only going to be getting ten times worse.

Really?  It reeks to me of ESPN trying to jump on a publicity bandwagon in a desperate attempt to maintain their quickly-waning relevance.  Really seems like corporate grasping, not ESPN caving to 'triggered' 'SJW fags'.  I haven't seen any of the news stories on this topic even say that anyone wanted Robert Lee removed - it's just more clickbait desperation.  In the CNN article it even says that the decision was made by ESPN execs and Robert Lee, not driven by some public outcry.

And why does it seem that the ones complaining the most about "SJW fags" are always the most asshole-ish that get upset that other people don't want to listen to their shit?

Um no, you don't have to agree with ESPN's decision to understand the intent.

It still remains that pro sports and sports networks need to STILL stand up to bigotry, much in the same way empathetic people did in sports in helping blacks break the pro sports segregation.

I'd prefer ESPN to do this, than to say, "The KKK and Neo Nazis have the right to insight violence".

The KKK back during pro sports segregation didn't want to end segregation. Today's KKK wants to go back to that. That is what White Nationalism is. Promotion of the end of pluralism.

I know that. I meant ESPN was worried people would be triggered so they did it just to be sure.

What's wrong with the word fag? I rarely ever call names but in this case it is warranted. I'm really not much of an asshole. I don't call names in person or when debating an SJW. I can have a civil conversation with them. I'm not on here calling people cunts in every other thread like some posters on here, but it seemed appropriate to use the word fag in my post. Why don't I completely eliminate the word from my vocabulary? Because then the SJWs win. First they tell us to stop saying 'fag' and 'that's gay', then they tell us we can't say 'bossy', and then eventually we can't even have a certain hair style or use a Michael Jackson gif because MJs black and I'm not. Screw all of that. If I want to use the word fag every once in a while to describe a group of faggots, then that's what I'm going to do. It's no different than gay people shoving it down your throat at a Pride parade. Homophobes disliking it so much just makes the gays want to shove it down your throat even more, and good for them. I'm just doing the same.

This wasn't the impulsive action of some fire-brand or spineless bowing to public pressure. Apparently, they decided to do this on their own without prompting. IMHO it reflects contempt for their audience.

Well, get real.  Football in the south is a bigger religion than jesus.  They were probably afraid that the local yahoos would hear Bobby Lee and grab their muskets!

Bolded mine.  Mmn, good luck in your 'war' against the 'SJW fags' then. I'll just be over here still saying whatever I want without being an asshole about it.

I hope it's not too politically incorrect of me to express my heartfelt desire that someday "a group of faggots" bitch-stomps you into the pavement. Hope I haven't triggered you, cupcake.

Sure you are.  You're a total asshole, and a waste of space to boot.  Using "fag" as an insult in literal fucking 2017.  Because you're 'at war' with 'SJWS' and you hope to offend them.  GTFO.

This "anti-pc" shit is what people like the white nationalists at Charlottesville were advocating for too. Some words have a deeper meaning and a terrible history, and ignoring that in order to be "edgy" is a good sign that someone is just a dick

"In literal fucking 2017"..  What does current year have to do with this? The faggot I used has nothing to do with insulting gay people if that's what you're thinking. It's meant something different than a slur against homosexuals for a long, long time now. Just letting you know incase you're out of the loop and didn't know that. Some older folks struggle with the evolution of words and just don't understand us young folks. Gay people are awesome as fuck and I'm not going to treat them like little babies who can't handle words. I have too much respect for them to do that.

Think of all the countless women that have been beaten, raped, or killed while being called cunt. I don't see anyone complaining when Minimalist calls people cunt in every other thread he makes. I'm sorry but I'm not giving in to the self-censorship/ anti-free speech agenda. I'm usually extremely polite and respectful with most people, partly because I don't believe in free will and therefore I don't hate anyone and understand that other people are just going to do what they do, and they couldn't change that if they wanted to.
