Romania used to be communist, in that period we had some relatives that were catholic. The regime didn't tolerate religion much, especially the Greek Catholic Church. Because of that said relatives had to convert to Orthodoxism. Dad said that the communists were dumb because they forced people to leave their faith, yet if I would tell him that I'm atheist he would explode. He doesn't believe in Hell and doesn't claim that Christianity is better than any other religion, so he has no reason to force me.

[My bolded.]  Perhaps you can go him one better along the same lines.  Once you are no longer dependent on him for any material support, give him some credit for his tolerance of other religions.  Then confide in him that you likewise do not consider non belief to be superior to belief, that it is fine with you that people believe or disbelieve as suits them best.  Let him know you don't judge him poorly on account of his belief.

I'm a single child, so don't worry.

Die Atheistin, you're over thinking this shit, you need a distraction.
Gate crash a children's birthday party and wave your private parts at their aunties, piss on a policeman, set fire to the town hall. You know, get yourself recognised, be somebody!
It's amazing 'science' always seems to 'find' whatever it is funded for, and never the oppsite. Drich.
