What would you say the answer is?

Men tend to be more aroused by imagery presented before them, in the form of porn or the real thing, whereas women tend to be most aroused by imagery they create in their own minds.

Except in the instance of two women together, that is the one instance where men are most aroused by the imaginative fantasy, because realistically it will never happen to them that they will ever witness or participate. Of course, porn has made it possible that they can witness, so in the end it becomes less of a thrill than something that is just there.

A man enjoying the idea of two women is basically just that, an enjoyment of the idea. After all, men are also easily aroused. A fully clothed woman in tight clothing can cause a man to get an erection, because the penis is what essentially drives the man's sexual arousal.

Women are correct in stating that there is no logic in men enjoying two women being together, because it's the penis that drives the male sexuality more than his insistence that he has complete control over his little buddy. The penis is to the man as the ego is to the personality, except that the penis is much harder to control.

This is probably the best explanation as to why it tends to be hot to a guy to see 2 girls making out but not the other way around.

Hey if you don't get it, you don't get it but there's no mystery or secret formula here. Men tend to be visual creatures, and when two women of a certain attractiveness -subjective to taste- make out we also tend to love that shit.

But I think it's visually pleasing to see a hot guy, but not to see 2 hot guys do things to each other.

I also think there might be the factor of lesbian sex being less likely to transmit STDs than sex between gay males. I'm not sure if that means much to the non-rational sexual part of our brains.

IMO, your observation is probably true in certain circumstances but not all circumstances.  Based on my personal experience, there have been women interested in me, who IMO, would fall into the "hot" or "beautiful" category; however, I'm not "hot" or rich ( nor have I ever been).  Thus, my best guess as to why they were interested is that they saw me as being different (hopefully in a good way) and took notice of the fact that I make an honest effort at treating people well and respectfully. In addition, (I do not mean to sound conceited) for some reason that I'll probably never understand, they might have even found me to be "cute" in my own way.

I think its probably to do with porn. they like seeing sex but the occasional glimpse of penis is unsettling and confusing to them, with girl on girl you don't get the inconvenient man parts there.

I suppose with two girls having it away, the fantasy is that they'll ask you to join in as well.

I think that men are perceived as being more kinky than women.
When we see two girls together we think these girls may be just as kinky as we are.
Therefore, it's more exciting.
Also, bisexual men are not accepted by society as much as straight or gay guys.
Therefore, there is more reluctance to admit they like seeing two guys together as well.

You mean more stereotyped. There's a lot of us out there who have been raised to believe that man on man sex is taboo and we are wrong for wanting to see that. I've always been into it but had to keep that info tucked away, because society just doesn't want to accept the fact that it's okay for women to like that. Lesbian sex is more culturally accepted, therefore, less stereotyped than man on man sex.

This also falls in line with Catholic children being taught that masturbation is wrong, exploring your own body is wrong and sex outside of marriage is wrong.

None of that is wrong, but depending on the culture, it is often viewed that way.
