4 Years for Sending Strippers to Neighbor's Door

4 Years for Sending Strippers to Neighbor's Door
A man was sentenced to four years in prison for sending strippers to bare themselves at a neighbor's front door.

I can understand the invasion of privacy and trespassing thing but is it really such a big deal that minors in the house were traumatized with the realization that women have tits? Seriously?

Four years in a state prison is definitely not going to do this guy any good. He's going to come out of there with a much more hardened heart than when he goes in. He will be MUCH more likely to shoot up a 7-11 or Starbuck's or a movie theater. Where is the fucking common sense?

You make it sound like he did this once and "Oooh! The big bad Law is overreacting! Ooooh!"

Here's what you conveniently omitted:

Quote:Authorities say Goldsberry hired prostitutes to bare their breasts and strip on his neighbor's porch while he watched from his house.

The family with two small children reported that women had shown up as many as 75 times since 2013, exposing themselves and sometimes kicking the door and yelling for payment.

When I saw four years I thought "He must've been harassing his victims for a while to get that sentence". That was well supported.

It is a common tactic of cretins to use the public's ignorance of the Law to make a valid judgment seem unjust. The term "propaganda" comes to mind. One sided slanting of the facts has a habit of distorting the truth.

Much like omitting frequency of an event makes it seem like a one-off.

Was this the response you were looking for?

Addendum:

Quote:Goldsberry also has been indicted in federal court for possession of child pornography and faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted.

... hah!

No. I would have expected something to have been done about it early on - not four fucking years after the fact. Not only were the victims ignored for all that time, the perpetrators were left with the impression that what they were doing was okay. Why not nip it in the bud? The only reason the women showed up 75 times was that the pigs ignored it until they couldn't anymore. This could have been corrected with community service and anger management.

There is nothing in the story indicating when the complaint was filed.

Shitty reporting.  Even in the original citation, which I looked up, it never says how long it took the cops to build a case.

There is something strange going on here.

Brock Turner was in prison for 3 months for raping an unconscious woman behind a dumpster, with eyewitnesses.

Just a little perspective.

The Turner case was harshly criticized as a miscarriage of justice, with a sharp focus on the judge for being harsh on a nonwhite for the same crime while extending leniency to someone like Turner.

For the matter, evidence of a miscarriage of justice several states away doesn't serve as a lesson in perspective, unless I'm missing something. Please elaborate on how the two are linked.
