White Guy Self-Identifies as Filipino Woman

Some dude in Florida has decided that not only is he a she but that he is also a Filipino.

While there may be some justification in believing that some people with male genitals have female brain structures*, I cannot think of any way to justify the notion that people can be whatever race they want to be, other than recognizing 'race' as the social construct that it actually is. Do liberal/progressive types think this kind of post-modern approach to identity is valid?
*The notion that there is a specifically female brain seems like a can of worms for feminism.

And? Why do you care what someone else identifies themself as? You identify yourself as a true believer in the one god.
Which is more ludicrous? At least filipino females exist.
I think that it's silly to object to self identification. We all have one. How many of them are accurate representations of self in the first place?

It is kind of contradictory. On one hand we say that femininity/masculinity don't exist and that males/females are the same and interchangeable. On the other hand we recognize the extreme psychological plight a person is put in when they feel feminine but are actually male.
So, which is it?
They cant both be true. Personally I'll take the latter one and acknowledge the differences between men and women.
As for race, I have no idea.
