The world could survive a nuclear war, depending on the targets and the concentration and the size of the bombs.  It could probably handle 500 or so smaller sized bombs without too much trouble.  However, if it got into the thousands we would be in a world of hurt.  Remember, we used to drop nukes on our troops all the time and Hiroshima and Nagasaki were rebuilt within weeks.

There's a pretty big leap that you are making.  50 globalist republicans feel Trump rhetoric is 'dangerous' and Trump is going to start launching nuclear weapons is not the same thing

Trump is testing the powers of the presidency and Trump is going to start Nuking people is not the same thing. 

Having no filter on twitter or when giving speeches and using nuclear weapons are not the same thing.

Anyone whom thinks nukes can be used today and win with them, does not understand how the world has changed since WW2. I really would suggest, thinking about the pictures of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and understand that both friend and foe have far bigger nukes now and there would be far worse global destruction. If our species didn't go extinct, BOTH friend and foe, would die from radiation poisoning and or be fighting their neighbors for scraps. IF we didn't go extinct as a species, we'd be knocked back to the stone ages.
