Let me tell you something about your afterlife ---
...1 year - or 900 trillion years into your perfect existence, you would eventually feel an overwhelming emptiness that could never be broken.
What makes any life beautiful and worth living is the chase to discover more before the end.
Only a fool would want to live forever. Make the most of what you have today.

Well said and true.
In the current condition and mentality, a long life would begin to be pure torture.
That's why we have to be mentally prepared and physically changed.
Here is what the physical change is - the new body is made up of the old body or the one we have now, combined and transformed into the new.
The old body is renewed to perfection, with the addition of incredible power and performance.
The mental preparation is mostly completed here. The mind is to be transformed after the likeness of the mind of Christ. This is done for us through cooperation and example.
The conditions for entering eternal life are to be in harmony with the ten laws of God, when summarized are respect for God, and others as we respect ourselves.
No offense meant here, but magical mind transformations to deal with eternity is still just part of your version of "the one true afterlife"
Paint the nicest picture you want, it's still just old books, upbringing, and personal religious bias.

Where is the morality in rewarding or punishing a version of me that has been so conditioned to endure said reward or punishment? That would no longer be a version of me that I could possibly recognise; it certainly wouldn't be the me that earned the reward/punishment. Your god is a twat.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

I didn't write the Bible, so it isn't really personal, unless I hid the dead sea scrolls.

What do you mean by a version of you?
It is either you or it is not.
I hope you are not suggesting that if you went to the dentist, that another version of you will come out?

Apparently I am to be converted in some way to make me endure the eternity of the afterlife. That will not be me anymore. Stop the pathetic false equivocation. Nobody mentioned dentists other than you, so don't you fucking dare strawman me.

Yeah it's personal. When you christian types can't even agree with each other and every word out of those scrolls is subject to interpretation, it's all personal.
"I'm the one who's got the one TRUE meaning. I REALLY know what happens when you die ... oh and also, magic mind morph to assist"
Meanwhile, a million other religious people are screaming at the same volume how wrong you are. If you don't think it's personal bias ... well, you know the end of that statement.

No one is forcibly converted.
Being totally healed and receiving the perfection of yourself...is pretty neat don't you think?
But that's not the issue here, the question is does God accept you now, without any alterations whatsoever? Or do you have to do some kind of dance first?
What if you were allowed in heaven right now, and you happened to notice God near a lake helping the children retrieve their boats with the willow branches, what would his reaction be knowing that you are standing a far off?
How did God treat the betraying angel Satan when he turned up at a conference?
He was treated normally and with respect, even though he had no right to even be there.
And how do you think he will treat you, a child of earth, who did not chose to be born, who had limited information, and often lives through ridiculous circumstances, with sickness, injuries, aging and suffering, who flounders in love and relationships, and who has never seen God, and angel or heaven?

What's stopping you from studying the Bible yourself, without any interference from the Pope or a golden Buddha nugget?
If you read one chapter on the morning - about 5 minutes, and five at night - half an hour, you'll have read it from cover to cover in about the same time of human gestation.

It's often a mistake to assume that people here who disagree with you haven't read the Bible, Banned. Many of us have, some more than once; and often having done so is a factor in getting the former Christians among us to leave their religion.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

It depends. How would you define Luciferian? As an atheist, I tend more towards RASTAfarian.

In your opinion, do you think quantity =quality? I mean all things worth having , you know like diamonds, gold rubies, pearls are hard to come by. One can find pebbles , of common worth anywhere. Do you think the loudest, most represented and numerous are best? You know cream rises the rest sinks kind of thing. What say you?
