Like I said, you don't even need to use synchrony convention to measure the value of "c", so why you would try and use this to argue against different conventions is beyond me.
BZZZZTTTTT!!!!!
And how much did you wager?
Oh, gee... you wagered everything. Well, thanks for playing, but you do get a year's supply of Rice-A-Roni!
It is incorrect to say that light has an AVERAGE speed in a vacuum. The speed of light in a vacuum is CONSTANT! IT DOES NOT CHANGE!
Science flies us to the moon and stars. Religion flies us into buildings.
God allowed 200,000 people to die in an earthquake. So what makes you think he cares about YOUR problems?

Prove it. Devise a test to directly measure the one way speed of light and win the Nobel Prize. Again, I am afraid you don't know what you are talking about. C is obtained by directly measuring the round trip travel time for light and dividing the distance by two, which of course is what those of us who speak English call an average! This average value is the same no matter what convention you use, hence why many scientists were able to calculate a fairly accurate value for c long before the Einstein Synchrony Convention was even developed. I am not the least bit shocked you would not know this though; you don’t even accept the well established historical fact of Jesus’ existence. Thanks for playing though.

I currently live in the northern reaches of Indiana in Middlebury (about 30~45 minutes from South Bend). Depending on a number of circumstances, I'll either be moving to California near Sacremento or Texas near Dallas.
I'm leaning toward going to Dallas because there are some strings to moving to Sacrimento that I don't want to deal with, but eitheir one has its benefits.
If today you can take a thing like evolution and make it a crime to teach in the public schools, tomorrow you can make it a crime to teach it in the private schools and next year you can make it a crime to teach it to the hustings or in the church. At the next session you may ban books and the newspapers...
Ignorance and fanaticism are ever busy and need feeding. Always feeding and gloating for more. Today it is the public school teachers; tomorrow the private. The next day the preachers and the lecturers, the magazines, the books, the newspapers. After a while, Your Honor, it is the setting of man against man and creed against creed until with flying banners and beating drums we are marching backward to the glorious ages of the sixteenth centry when bigots lighted fagots to burn the men who dared to bring any intelligence and enlightenment and culture to the human mind. ~Clarence Darrow, at the Scopes Monkey Trial, 1925
Politics is supposed to be the second-oldest profession. I have come to realize that it bears a very close resemblance to the first. ~Ronald Reagan

I had forgotten how good you were at just making baseless assertions and completely neglecting to back them up with anything of real merit or substance. Glad to see you have not changed.

I have actually never been to Indiana. I live just above the Oregon/California border. You should move to Sacramento so we can hang out sometime :-P We'd be like the old tv show, "The Odd Couple" haha.

Hard to tell on a forum. Did you REALLY post that without a hint of irony?

Oh please, you are not serious are you? You may not like my position, but I have always done a decent job of providing sources or at least the lines of reasoning behind my positions. I don't agree with guys like TDOA and Sam but they do a good job of providing sources and lines of reasoning as well, hence why I respect them more than some guys on here.
