A kid always invited me to a mansion in the valley(David Lee Roth's place), "You GOT is see this Eddie Van Halen guy play!" I never went but, when they released their first album in 78'(produced by Gene Simmons of Kiss), I saw what he meant. That was scary!
That release was after "Animals" and before "The Wall" so you can see dramatic diversity in the music. The Ramones made music simple and fun and I didn't have to learn how to play Eruption!
