Explain This #1: Belief vs. Knowledge

RE: Explain This #1: Belief vs. Knowledge
Philosophically, there are 4 ways to distinguish between believing and knowing

1. What we believe to be true, must in fact be true
2. We must believe what we believe to be true is true
3. We must have good reasoning and evidence
4. Our evidence must not be false or fabricated information

If all 4 are satisfied, then we can claim "to know" and therefore have knowledge, if not it is a belief

You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid.

Tinkety Tonk and down with the Nazis.

"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

First challenge is over. Best answer goes to DLJ's with 6 kudoses.

Link to DLJ's answer:

No surprise there, given that it was quite informative and original with pictures/diagrams to illustrate some of the points.

Thanks to everyone who played along by participating in this challenge, providing their own answers and kudoses to other answers.

See you in the next challenge thread soon.
