That depends. Is it nordic blood or mexican blood we're talking about here? He appears to think that mexican blood makes a sitting judge unfit to preside over his case, while nordic blood makes a person a valuable target for immigration.

Yeah but you won't see it will you because you are not LGBT and don't want to be troubled with thinking about it.

Pretty sure if the account is true, that was definitely illegal then, and remains illegal now.

If they've a moral objection to carrying out medical procedures (including abortions), well guess what? They bloody well shouldn't have become doctors in the first place.

Obviously a biased source, but assuming everything they said is exactly as it happened and this person was denied treatment simply because of their sexuality, did this case go to court and was it ruled acceptable?
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

The amusing bit is this.....because of GOP fuckery some states have a grand total of 1 clinic that performs abortions. Those clinics obviously provide a range of other services..and a dedicated partisan operative need only insert themself into a single room to effectively eliminate abortion in those states..if they can refuse to provide -that- service.
People might say, well, the clinic just wont hire them. You mean discriminate in employment on the basis of their firmly held christian beliefs? A question in the interview as to whether or not they;re too moral and godly to provide the service?
Double plus ungood! Help, Help..we're being oppressed!

Right it's a "biased source "

Under the old law, the Cake people got destroyed in court for not baking a cake. If you couldn't legally refuse to make a cake for a gay wedding, I assume you couldn't refuse to treat someone coughing up blood because they are transgender.

You say obviously a biased source but this kind of treatment is normal for trans people in America. I found lots of examples that i did not link because I was looking explicitly for people being refused treatment in ER. I knew that you would be looking for any reason to dismiss the links. I even ignored one link for a transwoman who died in Pakistan when refused treatment in ER for gunshot wounds. I came across an academic paper discussing how trans people are ridiculed to the extent that they deliberately avoid going to ER. Same difference refusing treatment and making the environment hostile to a patient.

Well I think to refuse to give a woman an abortion when you're a doctor and it's your job to perform medical procedures is awful. Put your religion above your job and you should get fired. The woman would end up having an unwanted baby and both her and the babies lives could end up being ruined just because some selfish doctor cared more about the magic imaginary sky daddy in his mind than about his job that he was supposed to be doing.
To object to any kind of medical prodcedure on non-medical grounds, when it's your job to carry it out, should get you fired, IMO. Either you do your job objectively or you don't do your job.
There's a reason people get a limited number of sick days. If a doctor wanted to avoid doing a medical procedure they should book one of their sick days in advance as everyone is allowed some time off. To just refuse to do your job because of your own personal feelings is ridiculous. Magical personal feelings about someone imaginary shouldn't be treated any different.
