You say obviously a biased source but this kind of treatment is normal for trans people in America. I found lots of examples that i did not link because I was looking explicitly for people being refused treatment in ER. I knew that you would be looking for any reason to dismiss the links. I even ignored one link for a transwoman who died in Pakistan when refused treatment in ER for gunshot wounds. I came across an academic paper discussing how trans people are ridiculed to the extent that they deliberately avoid going to ER. Same difference refusing treatment and making the environment hostile to a patient.

The question was whether or not this type of discrimination will be legal under the new law. (or ever). My argument is that no, it won't. And the article doesn't say otherwise.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Catholic fundies tend to be more softly spoken and superficially reasonable than evangelical fundies. Trust me, I'm from a country which has only (partially) thrown off catholic fundamentalism in my lifetime, I know.

Fundy isn't about tone of voice; it's about your beliefs. IIRC, Cath's beliefs aren't fundamentalist.

It's very simple. Show me one example of a doctor refusing medical treatment to someone because that person is gay, and legally getting away with it in court.

Which is how fascism gains power. Not because there are a few zealots who believe in their ideology but because normal people don't believe that it can happen.

This is why there is a white supremacist in the white house. Normal people trying to find normal explanations for abnormal views.

My friend posted on her facebook page that she was going to refuse treatment to all patients who were not atheist.

To which you will then invent a reason why it does not count . And ask for another example . And round and round we will go .
