Three things I like about my country...
Umm...
It's conveniently close to my flat.
There's lots of ports and things to go somewhere else.
Doctor Who (the proper one, not this fanwank shit).
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

I live in England and I think I just like the fact that overall it's less of a shithole than some other places probably are. Not too many animals that will kill you, dangerous weather isn't such an issue, not a huge amount of deadly viruses going around, the crime rate is also not too bad.
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
Impersonation is treason.

I love our diversity.
I love our flora, from our magnolia flowers that smell so sweet you could eat them to our majestic Live Oaks and our ancient Bristlecone Pines.
I love our food, borrowed from every culture on the planet.

1. People here seem to care more about what you do than about what you are (took me a while to get used to that).
2. Donald Trump seems unaware of our existence.
3. It isn't Northern Ireland.

I do love the stark difference between city and country here in America.
I love the beaches. The variety and sheer number of awesome beaches.
I love the scenery. From Sequoia to Yosemite to Grand Canyon National Park.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great
