CNN: No one cares about Russia

Alpha really has been on a kick lately-- he's like our very own Fox News correspondent. But that's a function of the forums, to be a platform for different opinions.

But of course, any argument he makes for something like trickle-down economics will be met with 30 or so counterarguments, in addition to all the various wisecracks and one-liners. So I think the overall responses to a given thread end up dismantling his points.

A top CNN reporter admitted on Sunday that American’s do not care about the left-leaning network’s seemingly 24/7 negative coverage of the Trump-Russia investigation.

The surprising confession on CNN’s “Inside Politics” was made by CNN national political reporter Maeve Reston who said that voters do not care about the investigation because it does not really affect them and the one issue that voters do care about — the economy — is strong.

“You are starting to see that uneasiness about the economy sort of dissipate,” Reston said. “Remember, even in 2016 when we went out to these swing states and talked to voters, there was still this fear that things were suddenly going to turn down again. You don’t feel that as much anymore.”

“I’m so interested to see how the Russia investigation affects things because so far, out in these districts when you talk to people about Russia, and that’s all we talk about at CNN basically, they say they don’t care,” Reston continued. “It doesn’t have any effect on their lives.”

And yet if a democrat did any of those things they'd be demanding the death penalty.

Of course morons care more about money than democracy. That's exactly why this country is in such dire straits, and why we have such a buffoon as our chief executive. It'd be nice if people paid attention, but they won't ... until Mueller lays out the goods in a courtroom.

I have fond memories of yesteryear, when every other day there was an "It's Happening! Draw up the impeachment papers!" revelation that signaled the end was imminent for the Trump family. After a year, I think most Americans, outside of the diehards, are recognizing that it really was a witch hunt and a waste of money. It'll be fun when Mueller comes out and says it's over and Trumps in the clear just in time for the midterms. Another masterful piece of strategery from the DNC.
