I have a redneck atheist friend in Oklahoma. He was raised by conservative Christian parents. He grew out of that belief and he is now an atheist and BOTH a social and economic liberal. I've known John for 16 years. If I demanded he not celebrate Christmas with his still believing family, he'd drop me as a friend like a hot potato.
Maybe you simply need to, GROW THE FUCK UP! Dawkins does not hate every Christian, nor was he saying he is a secret Christian because he likes the ceremony. My atheist Redneck friend John, still loves religious music even though he does not agree with the message.
As an atheist, I had attended a Unitarian Church , but that did not mean I believed in all the God/s the members held to be true. It just meant I liked the atmosphere. ho hum.....*yawn*

My Redneck atheist friend is as much an atheist as I am. But I am not going to pull a bullshit litmus test on him, because he still loves his Christian parents and still celebrates Christmas.
Dawkins personal habits are his. Just like mine as a no name are mine. If you think Dawkins is wrong on science or economics make that the point. But the fact he might attend Church sometimes is BULLSHIT, because I did that as an atheist myself.
